Objectives

We are committed to providing our students with the highest quality of training in a nurturing, positive, and encouraging manner. We aim to help our students mature in terms of technical skill, and to develop their understanding of musical study. Ultimately our goal is to teach our students as much about the joy and wonder of music as we possibly can.

Tuition and Payment

Tuition fees are based on 36 private lessons and 18 group lessons (for beginner strings) from September to June.

New Students may enrol at any time; tuition will be prorated as necessary.

Tuition for private and group instruction is billed by term, and is payable in full prior to the first lesson or class. Payment may be either cash or cheque according to your preference. We will impose a $25 fee for any returned cheques. Additionally, an interest of 1.5% per month (18% APR) will be charged on unpaid and undisputed balances which are more than 30 days past due. Fees are subject to change.

Supplies

Music books and other supplies are not included as part of our registration or tuition fees. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding the acquisition of supplies.

Student Absence Policy

Refunds are not available for student absences. Any lessons cancelled by the teacher will be redeemed at a mutually agreeable time. A maximum of two student absences or cancellations per school year can be made up at a later date at a mutually agreeable time (if one is available). Students and parents are strongly encouraged to seek out other students participating in lessons and exchange lesson times before considering outright cancellation. We are sorry that we have to act uncompromisingly in regards to this policy, but we assure you there are many valid reasons why we remain firm on the subject. We are more than willing to discuss this policy with you if you have any questions regarding its enforcement or purpose.

Non-attendance caused by serious injury will be redeemed with an emphasis on alternative musical subjects, such as history, theory, left hand, right hand, posture etc.

Non-attendance caused by illness will be counted towards the maximum of two student absences and will thus be redeemed at a mutually agreeable time if one is available.

Non-attendance caused by vacation plans will not be redeemed in any fashion.

Lesson Withdrawal

Thirty days written notice is required for a course withdrawal; tuition balance will be fully refunded for any monies paid past the thirty days.
